burneyreid Posted February 14, 2011 Author Posted February 14, 2011 Nice poics retro88 I had "dogs" yesterday...I don't speak french, but have a few mates that do,Albuqueque is my July retreat for a visit with a whole lot of diecast crazies and the Mattel Matchbox team, can't say much about the poolside parties cuz I don't remember much of them:)Trig, the Dodge chirps 1st-2nd,2nd-3rd if ya stomp on it,but seeing as that's all "the Boy" was doing in it till the Bobbys had enough of him, I took it back and gave it to "the Girl" to see if she'll take care of it better. So far so good...sucks gas like a pig though.( The truck, not "the Girl")
burneyreid Posted February 14, 2011 Author Posted February 14, 2011 Wow! Two real beauties, not quite autoshite though eh? Havent you got an old yank tank kicking around? Hey Steve A...greetins'Naw, got tired of the clunkers I had all my life and after 9-11 decided to visit a dealership and get myself outta the repair business. As a Bus Mechanic, I wrench all day,so I'm kinda keen on pursueing my diecast hobby and other things when not workingOver the years since the 70s, I've had a myriad of clunkers that all ended up two-bitting me to death constantly, so I figured that if the world's gonna blow up, I may as well ride in comfort till it does. I love the chance to check out others Shite and see a finished project come out of it,so I'll lurk around here a bit and do some readups on members projects.

eddyramrod Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Welcome aboard, Burney! You'll find there's quite a bit of love here for the old Tanks, also for the little stuff, as you'll be able to see in various threads. Bring it all on! BTW, since you felt the need to buy new, a big well-done for at least supporting your domestic industry!
