I'm surprised that Daihatsu have pulled out of Europe, given the increasing demand for small, fuel efficient cars.

Same here.

 

Although I quite liked the Materia that was launched a few years ago.

Jeremy Clarkson's Top Gear 'road test' of it against an Ascari sports car is repeated ad nauseum on 'Dave'.

 

Always liked the '87-'92 Charade model...the side profile of the 5 door hatchback looked quite unique in my eyes compared to other superminis on the road. Also liked the Domino. Mira and Cuore too.

Sad news, so thought I'd add a couple of my Daihatsu's. I've always been a fan of kei cars and reckon Daihatsu make some of the best 660cc beasts.

This is sad news. I pass a Daihatsu and Isuzu dealer regularly at work about fifteen minutes from the house, I'll need to go take photos before it disappears into oblivion. Sadly theres never very much of interest about there now other than odd 96-on Charades and purple and silver Moves but I might actually take photos of some of those too seeing as they're about to become unsupported in the UK.
