Insurance Advice

When I bought the Fronterror last month, I tagged it onto my insurance policy (through Footman James) for a month, costing about £30. That month is just about up so I need to insure it again. I'm looking to sell it soon so only want a months cover but the insurers will only do a temporary policy once. The best they can offer is a third party fire & theft for nearly £500 for the year. Mrs P tried her company and they will do it for a month but for £95!:shock: It's 16 year old but that doesn't stand it as a "classic" (no surprise there then) so can't go down that road.

Anyone got any suggestions/recommendations?

Thanks :)

Fill it with Vectra spares and send it over the bridge of doom?

I know it doesn't help much, but it'd cheer you up.

Take out a policy, cancel after 13 days under consumer rights, repeat as necessary.

Distance selling regs so that would have to be over the phone.

I have taken out insurance and cancelled within the 14 days. You will get hit with a pro-rata charge, but it might only be £30 or so.
