Halfords offer 10% off everything

I have to say that my Halfords trade card has been probably one of the best things I've ever had. I can't believe how much dosh I've saved on service items.

Try to buy car stuff over here -- almost anything -- then whinge about Halfords if you can! Usual pricing structure over here is charge what you like, and for Brits, add a zero. That's assuming you can find anywhere selling whatever it is you wanted anyway.

The motor factor I went to in Larnaca was great, a dingy old school place with shelves upon shelves of mostly obsolete parts. They couldn't a radiator hose for a Mitsubishi Colt, but quickly found a close match in a 1980s Toyota Hilux radiator hose with an end chopped off.

You don't get service like that in the UK, they'd have to order it in.

To be fair, I am also beginning to find such places, via my carefully-nurtured trade contacts. It can be an uphill struggle for some stuff though; probably serves me right for having 40-year-old cars.
