Hindustan Contessa. In the 1980s, Hindustan acquired production tooling for the Vauxhall Victor FE derived VX, which also had links to the Opel Rekord D (floorpan).  Initially the Contessa had a BMC B series engine derived from the unit used in their Ambassador but later used an Isuzu engine.  The Contessa was only sold as a Hindustan, not a Vauxhall.
