Been meaning to upload these for ages.

Just a little taster, more to come when I have a min at work.

This is parked at work quite regularly. Know very little about them, apart from its stunning, tell me more!

Hnnnnnnnngggggg!

I could probably wax lyrical about Borgwards for some time, but I think i'll let Seth do it seeing as he owns one!

anyway, gotta be one of the best spots evah

I see that on Edge Lane quite often. Bloke who drives it always looks rather chipper.

Very nice. Common as muck though, the coupes

I may own one but I don't know massive amounts. I've only sat in one once, earlier this year - I don't think balancing myself on bits of wood across the open plan interior and floor of mine counts. That must be a later one with its small diamond front end though.

I think all the owners I have met could be described as "chipper" Some form of eccentricity in every one of them.

Barrett, feel free to wax!

Ok so little update of a road trip I took with the brother-in-law to pick up an unseen Porsche 924 turbo he had won on ebay.

Packed the essentials in the trusty camper nice and early.

On my way to pick the bro in law up, what a stunning morning!

Bro in law was on camera duty but there was a serious lacking of shite on the way down. Although we did grab these two

So after about 4 hours (Southport to Bristol) we made it at the garage that was selling the motor.

My word did they have some interesting motors with some fantastic price tags.

Anyway on to the ebay purchase. The owner seemed like a decent enough guy and they had MOT'd it at a reasonable cost

IMG_1632.JPG

Hmmm looked pretty decent at a distance but close up and the paint was shagged. Looked like it had been polished with a brillo. Looking in the extensive service history it had had a full top half respray only 7 or 8 years ago. They made a good job of that then.

Some other tat in the yard.

Anyway we set off for the long haul home with me following 'just in case'. It seems to shift enough when the loud pedal is planted but some rather suspicious looking smoke is starting to appear.

Nice H van spot still on french plates on the way back.

A mammoth 5 hours home after a traffic jam and we made it. Engine is no longer sounding quite so happy, some top end knocking going on and what on earth are the clouds of white smoke........oh that will be the head gasket then!

Car has loads of history including a supposed top end rebuild only a few thousand miles ago. Jeez, whoever spent the money was right royally shafted, still it was cheap enough and is now awaiting the refit of the totally rebuilt engine.

:D
