garethj Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Worth doing? The temperature gauge on the Ginetta goes up to almost halfway after a mile or two, then falls back down. The heater isn’t really warming up much but I replaced the thermostat back in April. It’s been a swine to bleed, as apparently most Cortinas are. However it does let me say “what’s the bleeding time?†like James Robertson Justice. From what I remember, a 3mm hole in the 12 o’clock position is what’s needed, I picked up a new thermostat yesterday and there’s no hole. Should I drill one?
Station Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I think the best place to check is the K-series thermostat: http://www.mgfcar.de/thermostat/index.htm

Rusty Pelican Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Agreed , I remember they used to fit tiny valves in them as standard called jiggle pins years ago
Guest Leonard Hatred Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Ahh, that's what the 'jiggle pins' are for. Always wondered.
