1970s Datsun Audible Warning

Mum was telling me that in the 1970s her friend's dad had a talking Datsun Cherry. I found this link featuring a strip down of the voice unit - a tiny record player. Apart from that, I'm not finding a lot of info about this (I was hoping for a video or something).

 

Anyone had a Datsun with this feature?

The C32 Laurel (1985-90ish) has this feature I believe though Spottedlaurel will no doubt confirm, Hirst's taxi might have some weird connotation of it. Ratdat has an earlier C31 which may also.

Now hold on Mash, you're getting carried away there! I don't think my taxi even has a door-open warning, let alone a voice box. They even downgraded the digital clock to an analogue one, the miserable sods.

I can't picture that at all. I had a robot that said: 'Testing, Smoke System' and would then dump a head full of liquid smoke all over the room. But that was solid state.
