...can anyone recomend one?

I noticed a slight leak from where the top hose goes onto the rad on the Sceptre the other day, hose looked past it's best so I got a new one from ebay. Fitted it this afternoon and there's still a leak. The rad was recon'd in April '09, according to the receipt that came with the car, so I was thinking of boshing some miracle gloop in...

Thing is, the last time I bought some, Holts 'Radweld' was about all you could get, but things must have moved on now?

If that doesn't cure it, nothing out of a bottle will!

Most motor factors do this mad powder stuff called CE-LIT.

It's about £1.50 - £2.50 and really works. Shit hot it is.

Yeh, Ce-lit was brilliant for the heater matrix in my 84 Escort but doesn't seem to have done a thing in the rad on my 87 Bluebird. :?

When I worked with the limos one of the drivers turned up with a bloody big hole in the rad and water pissing everywhere. The car had to go out and work again in an hour or so so I bunged two sachets of CE-LIT in and amazingly the leak stopped.

It worked so well the car still had the same rad a year or two later and hadn't used a drop of water since.

I suspect CE-LIT was lucky that time, but that made it my rad bodge of choice after that.

Best stuff on the market by far.
