Not offically, no. A car is offically classed as 'hazardous waste' or similar once a COD - Certificate of Destruction has been issued. The breaker is authorised to issue the certificate. If the scrapyard gaffer keeps a few favoured motors aside in his 'museum'/shed/warehouse, even after the CODs have been issued, I don't think thats technically against the law - it just can't go back on the road.

I seem to remember that Minor DW, was it a black 1960 one that passed through GW Bridges in Sussex?

That was the one Anthony. Thinking back, I think that ended up in a museum but then another Minor got 'saved' and Hyundai went very PR on the story. That was a traveller I think.

I think a car with a COD issues against it can go back on the road, but it can be a long an laborious process- the DVLA deffo don't like it and would ask questions as to why a COD had been issued against a car that hadn't been destroyed. I would imagine the breaker would have a right shoeing over it.

Louise, I still can't get onto the aggro forum- please tell them i'm not dead!

P.S hows the bump?

I'll mention it Tim, I can't get on with the new log-on but can with the old :?

The bump popped and Megan's doing well thanks! She had her first trip in the Allegro today in a mini convoy with Aunty Abby in hers too! What a start in life eh?! :D

She was born in our front room on the 13th. I had a wicked time, childbirth isn't as bad as people make out, I'm a total wimp but managed with the water and gas and air (which is fab 8) ).
