Yes, seem to recall Woolies did it on a roll. 

Have Fablon’d a dash before and it looked pretty much just fine.

Also did a dash on a 1300FWD in aluminium plate that had engine turning (IIRC) done on it.  Looked rather spiffing actually.

Opened up the speedometer yesterday evening. 

Gave it a good clean out and re-oil with clock oil. 

It was filthy from metal dust. The spinning magnets appear to be hitting the needle cup. I tried bending things out of the way but didn't want to break anything. Spinning by hand while pushing in the drive cable side doesn't catch at least now. There is play on the cup which presumably why it's hitting.

MGOC order has apparently been delivered today so hopefully I'll get some time later to fit this all back in again. Also have a go at fixing the heater controls while I'm in there.
