Gentil79 Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Hi everyone, it's been a while since I posted here. this is my 1974 BMw E12 that is back in the road after a troublesome 20 odd years. it was nearly scrapped in 2001, I bought in 2002, out a new engine but then I had to sell it in 2004 and lost track of it not long after. Two years ago, a friend found it for sale and I went to Portugal to pick it up. There's way far more to the story of this car, though! the last two years have been challenging with a broken engine and no garage, but hope came earlier this year and after a lot of work and time (and money) spent, it's finally running. Better than ever! here's a summary of all the work done by myself and a specialist who converted the working loom and got the car running properly at last: Nearly Scrapped 20 years ago and now back to life! #bmw JMotor, Floatylight, Shite Ron and 21 others 20 4
wuvvum Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Nice! I had an E12 525 years ago which I never managed to get back on the road, so I've never actually driven one - I had an E28 520i auto but they're probably a rather different beast being a straight 6. Gentil79 1

Yes, they feel different being a six. I also had a a couple of E28's in the past and they also feel different to drive compared to the E12
