Great pics as usual!

Obviously I'm feeling the love for the Cits but also the R5, Panhards and the little Simca - triple WANT.

XR3 and Fiesta seem to be surprisingly good nick. See quite a lot of 80s Fords well kept in France. Wonder why that is.

The blue Renault van J7 is dreaminess. Not to mention the good condition liteace

As for the Mercs - wow - I love the 300SE but the Black oldie with the OMG mirror-mounted indicators! Lovely.

Feeling the love for the X1/9 too - love the look of those with all the sharp edges (like ma wedges!)

Also want the ex-private ambulance CX hi roof .

I want to live there....

those who know my posts know i love cars but also have a love for ruins and abandoned buildings, imagine one's delight when i saw what looked like a art deco garage empty, and off i went to explore.. site was defo a fair size,

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

now this is where it got intresting in my research after, this site belongs to a company called Solic, something i saw said about PCB and electrics, another says about refinerys... this falls into refinerys as was a petrol station/garage

Posted Image

so as we crossed over the tarmac we are now in another site owned by Total, i was baffled by all the no smoking signs, and now we know why

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

i like the way this walls been repainted just so they can graffiti it again

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

and now a little history, as always i come home to try and discover a little at my little treasures, as i said the 2nd factory as seen here on google earth was owned by total and i found a map of the floorpan...

maybe you techy types could throw a little light on it :)

Posted Image

which after looking for that on google earth not 2 minutes away i found this hoard of abandonment, well thats next weekend covered then :D

enjoy

Posted

as i said before, today we headed off to see what we thought was afew empty barns but was in fact a huge site by far the biggest ruin i've walked around, long since used, its roads now overgrown paths (the roads are clearly marked on TomTom but apart from afew gates you'd never beleive they were there, the factorys themselves were of epic proportions (would make a great classic car museum) and judging by things i've seen on the net the company is still in business making similar products (from speedhumps to blow up dolls i presume) but no longer in the limouzin, the site was near impossible to get into so overgrown, i'll take a strimmer next time Posted Image

the google link and why not have some pics....
