dont talk to me about 24v ultima'si borrowed one yesterday, and i killed it this morning either one chain snapped, or one chain slipped because of a tensioner failure. sounds terrible, no power, maximum 3k revsowner going to investigate tomorrow

Could it be sensor failure and on limp-home mode?

No leccy rear seat on the frogface, it was only available on the earlier sierra style granadas.Ace cars though, is it a 12 valve or 24valve? i think 95 was the changeover year

as the chains both look fine, and still seems to be timed-up

 

top end looks remarkably clean after 130K miles

The one I'm getting is a 24V. Just been to it, battery is fubar'ed. Grrrr. Wanted to smoke the bald tyres tonight!

i think 95 was the changeover year

They were made from January 1995 to July 1998. I love them I liked them from new, as was mentioned they did look abit too modern when they came out (most new cars didnt have oval grilles or strange shape headlights) they look more modern in 2010 than they did in 1995. I have no doubt that these cars will be considered classics before many other cars from the 90's are, there seems to be alot of love for them the same cant be said about the MKIII Granada that the Scorpio replaced.

It's home, it runs, and the Wife likes it! I've been authorised to insure it and use it pronto, as she says she might even go in it! Blimey, she LIKES one of my cars. I am slipping.
