240v to 3 phase help required

Just acquired a large 3 phase compressor. Haven't got a clue on how to magically transform household 240v supply to 415v. Any "blokes who know" out there?

I "used" to be an apprentice sparky and asked this question before as 3 phase stuff is much cheaper than normal 240v gear! Unfortunately IIRC its pretty much impossible, you have to swap everything about internally to convert it to 240v. I may be totally wrong though.Your best bet would be to swap the motor for a 240v one. Probably not that difficult I would have thought.

You can get inverters that convert 240V to 3-phase. I've seen some that are like a pair of motors coupled together with a heavy flywheel to soak up any spikes.

Yes, of course its completely impossible unless you use a single phase converter. I thought that was obvious..
