Who wants to buy a Maxi then?

I had made a decision to sell my Austin 1100 last week as I decided that I couldn't afford to spend the money and time on two old cars which need a similar amount of work.

 

However over the weekend I have been doing some thinking I have decided (with a heavy heart) to sell my Maxi. The 1100 needs a new displacer unit fitting and doubt I would be able to recoup the cost if I sold it.

 

The Maxi is a 1977 1750HL (twin carb) in green.

 

It needs a new front wing and work on both rear wheelarches. The drivers seat is also ripped. I have a steering rack for it as the current one is worn. It has recently had a new alternator, clutch, timing adjusted and an oil change.

 

I would like around £550 for it, ideally.

Somewhere, I have a new/old stock exhaust tailpipe trim (the one that looks like something the Salvation Army would play in City centres around Christmas time) for an HL, it was bought for one of Dad's Maxis (Brooklands green, like that one. RFT897S) and never fitted, I'd gladly donate it to the buyer of this car if I only knew where the thing happens to be....
