Nice. Was that TR8 genuine?Shame someone has rather crudely chopped the back about to squeeze SD1 lights onto it!

Me thinks it's a Grinnall (sp?) TR8, in which case yes, the SD1 lamps are about right. The PK Jimp is based on a Reliant kitten or Fox chassis with the 850cc version of Reliant's own all-aluminium engine and other oily bits, made by PK engineering back in the day in even smaller numbers than the Reliant-built versions.

And very much a homecoming for the Jimp as it was built between 1981 & 1984 by PK (Peter Kukla) Manufacturing Ltd. of Sandbach using the mechanicals of the Reliant Kitten. IIRC they worked out of a unit that was formerly part of the Foden or ERF factory. When sorting some old car brochures to Ebay last year I found I had two Jimp brochures. A lady who used to work for them bought them both and paid over £30 each :shock::shock:

You have also solved a mystery, I think. The Whitby Warrior looks pretty much like a mystery vehicle I saw a few years ago:

While the front is slightly different, 'mine' does look similar to the one on Whitby Morrison's website: http://www.whitbymorrison.com/Company/Timeline.php

Quite an interesting site if you want to know about ice cream vans, which is their main business. Some good pic's, and it's reassuring to know they carry out confidential research. I think there might even be a photo of the CF ice cream van parked behind 'your' Whitby Warrior on their site.

Looks like that three I now know about... cheers guys

here is my old one:
