Greek Chod Spotting

Recommended Posts

Only been here a day and can already tell that it's going to be a long post so I thought I might as well start a separate thread.

Starting with the obligatory base model E36 316i Compact and W123 Merc, plus the common as muck Fiat city cars. Plenty of E36 still all over the place, the Merc might have been a taxi in it's previous life? Our taxi from the airport was a relatively new E-Class with over 800k km on the clock btw, you would never be able to tell!

Just around the corner from above, an Alfa Romeo 33 still in daily use. Nice to see the Pajero as well, probably has been a rental car just around the same time I was visiting Greece the last time. When I was 6 years old!

Two cars further down, another epic find. I doubt this is in daily use anymore, at the same time it doesn't seem like anything ever gets removed from the streets either. Hilarious to see that even in this climate a classic Ford isn't safe from dissolving into a pile of rust.

Top spotting already!  You can guess which one grabbed me hardest, lol... is that a Rover 75 in the background of the rear-shot?

Also, that Capri has stories to tell: facelift rear lights but a pre-facelift front?

It's a proper Autoshite holiday, isn't it!

I used to drive a Merc truck like the blue one further up; it was primitive at best.

Another of many early 90s ST180 Celicas. My Corona EXiV is based on them.

Also doesn't this gen Civic hatch look absolutely incredible in even this state? Would buy and restore, I want one badly now.

Also another super clean E36.

White Lancias like this Dedra are still the epitome of the Mediterranean street scene to me. I love seeing these still surviving here in decent numbers.

Also 607, maybe I'll try one some day.
