on the left hand side of the engine as you stand facing it, just under the top engine mount is a pulley and pump arrangement....Is this the power steering pump?

Does it come with aircon? There should only be two pumps for PAS and AC, although if it's diesel it might have a li'l oil pump with in and out pipes. Assume it's PAS.

Not sure which engine you have in there, Petrol/Diesel? On the Vectra, it's not PAS in the normal sense, and the early C model up to 2004 has the pump under the offside headlamp, 2004 on, it became integral-ish to the rack. Look for a cream coloured tapered bottle midships in the rear of the engine bay up against the bulkhead, that's if it's owt like the Vectra. What's the reason for asking? Poor performance may be the electric pump ECU failing, or a blown main fuse..... A little more info could help here. Of course, I could be talking total bollocks.
