A new addition to Boobydoo Towers should be arriving tomorrow in the form of a 1985 Talbot Solara Rapier. A friend of mine in Scotland has lost some garage space so had to get rid. Been in storage for about three years.I've never seen the car but supposed to be in excellent nick two-tone Red over Gold and 27000 miles from new. Passed a new MOT last week.As I cant get time off work at the mo, I've cajoled a friend of mine to catch the early morning easyjet flight to Glasgow and he's going to drive it all the way down for me! I've armed him with my RAC number just in case.I think a slap up meal at the local Harvester will be in order upon his safe arrival to celebrate.Fingers crossed it arrives in one piece! If so I'll take some piccies.

A meal? You should buy him the whole bloody pub  Can't wait to see the pics and more details.

Excellent!Sounds like my sort of day out. Fly to Scotland in cattle class, come back in utter style and luxury :D

I dont think you have to buy your mate anything. If anything, he owes you as you let him drive a Solara back from Scotland.

Fear not, he will be paid handsomely for his time. I think he's quite excited by it actually. His missus is making a packed lunch!!!

Ooh a packed lunch too. Nice. An Autoshite packed lunch I trust, consisting of Ginsters pasty, peperami, crab paste sarnies on thin white bread, pickled onion Space Raiders, all washed down with a can of Panda Cola.

Ginsters & pepparami is pushing it. 2x 'value' pasties and a cold sausage you had to fight the dog for is more our style.

Nice one, looking forward to pics. Space Raiders are massive win, its downright ridiculous how theyve even survived to 2010. Is Panda Cola even still made? I havent seen it for ages. But enough of food!

Nice one! but I do think you might be spoiling your friend somewhat with a slap up meal at the local Harvester  He should just undertake the mission for the love of tat, make sure he takes a camera to record any breakdowns on the intrepid journey
