Hudsonpie Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Just drag it out of the space....job done Probably down to the council if it's residents only parking
Timewaster Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Is it worth sticking a note on it giving them a week to move it first?Grassing it to the man isn't really the autoshite way is it?
Mr Lobster Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 If it's in a public area (even if its private land to which the public have access) then I'm fairly sure it should be MOT'd. You can ring the council etc but whether they would do much is debatable. Maybe stick a note on it along the lines of "If this car is not moved in seven days...." and see what happens. If it's still there in a week or so, ring the local unscrupulous scrap man to get it removed.Failing that, get something heavy and drag it out of the way?Whats the car anyway?
25v6turbo Posted February 27, 2010 Author Posted February 27, 2010 Thing is if i put a letter on it,the owner might be able to find out thats its my parking space,if they dug deap enough, the parking spaces aren,t numbered, its just i know what spare belongs to what house, the owner is probally not even aware of it! its just its a bit tight for space sometimes!
25v6turbo Posted February 27, 2010 Author Posted February 27, 2010 Actually i could stick one of those faux parking tickets on it??
Spiny Norman Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Aye, there's never a thieving pikey about when you need one is there?
Mr_Bo11ox Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Just put a piece of paper under the wiper saying its ' been spotted by a pilotless drone aircraft, engaging in unusual behaviour in a public place. If its not moved in 48 hours it will be blown up under the terrorism act', or some such rubbish. Sign it 'The Police'.
meggersdog Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Parking areas would be down to the council.Leaving a note asking if it's for sale is a good idea. Then you can talk to the owner. If you get no reply after a week Put it on bricks and take a couple of wheels off then report to council as an abandoned vehicle
