This is my 1,000th post, I'm going to post a picture of something very exciting and very special, let you gaze in awe at the big number on the left and marvel at what is possibly my greatest achievement and then I'm going to go away and consider my options...

Congrats Torsten! Surely some kind of award for this milestone should be forthcoming?I remember those little post vans as a kid. They pedestrianised our town centre in the early 80s and used one of these for ages afterwards instead of a proper van. They use a proper van now in the pedestrian zone... Progress eh

Well all I can add is that I know Nigel B was complaining of a bad back a month or two ago & I have to say that on the occasions I've made a deliberate detour to take in Nigel's collection (the visible ones) there have been no new additions of note that I can make out bar an early Renault 5 (which is very nice), although I think he accumulated that before Xmas whilst he was still communicative. So maybe he is lying low at the moment or has nothing really to tell us! Or maybe, like was suggested with me, it might have been his birthday & he is enjoying a verrry long hard P-A-R-T-Y!

I think Mr Bickle is currently in France. Looking at the RR forums, the R5 might be Dollywobbler's old one - is it white?

Yes it makes a good pair with his 127 (the one not in storage), it's the same colour, same year. Both white & both 1973/4 M reg, not sure which I prefer, it's a tough call If that's the case, I hope he comes back to these shores laden with new toys for me to gawp at!

Yes, it is that one. The one that I would've snapped up if I hadn't bought my auto two days before Dollywobbler advertised it.

I think Torsten made a post on R-R a couple of days ago (about something for sale, surprisingly!) - haven't been on the Volvo Owners Club forum ('cos I have no Volvo anymore) for ages but he used to be quite active on there.Perhaps he and Nigel are doing some spring cleaning of the collections?
