Some sort CAF/Bombardier light rail thing? 200 is quite a lot for NZ I would guess. 

They look like the Metrolink in Manchester, but newer.

It is a CAF Electric Multiple Unit - I'm not sure exactly what "Type" but these are Auckland Transport "AM Class" units....I guess they're "heavy rail"? They run on 3 foot 6 inch (Cape Gauge), like the rest of NZ railways.

Don't mention "light rail" in Auckland...it's a dirty word! 😂

The car is an unusual one to only have 200 of, it's fewer than you would expect!
