Screen replacement...advise

OK so the pickarse has a chip in the screen, and some marking by PO not swapping wipers out in time.. Any recommendations for a replacement fit service?

clocked a few but almost all are over £400..Policy allows me to charge it to insurance, but does that then give them the chance to bump up my insurance???

had a screen supplied & fitted to a Vectra few years back for £150 all in!!!

I was told to try a local scrappies that did fitting , worth a try ?

but when I had a word with the MOT garage for my screen , they said it could be done with the MOT

so not tempting fate by fitting one now and then somat happens before the MOT !!!

I have already splashed out on the car by fitting a new wiper blade I found in the garage ....

not sure I'd trust ANY scrapper with removing AND fitting a screen....especially one as big as the pickarse's with rain sensors too

Windscreen claim should not affect your insurance as long as you use a recommended/authorized screen company, check what your Windscreen XS will be, should be £75 or more depending on the insurance company you use, call your insurance or read through your policy details for windscreen cover
