I was actually trying to work out what eras they were portraying! No not me, I think it was 90s so a bit after my era.

I think it is supposed to be 94??The Escort was a later mk5 with earlier plates on. There was the Rover 800 and then a Ford Sierra police car too I think.

I saw about thirty seconds of it which showed a J-plate Escort with the large rear lamps, and turned off in disgust

I saw that J plate, which made me think it was the mid 90s, but it was bad 'casting' as it was a (then) 2 or 3 year old car driven by a teenage character. How would they afford that?

The same way all these 17 years olds i keep seeing driving 59 plate Fiesta Titanium got there from i guess, The bank of mum and dad.

considering the scene was on some shitty council estate i doubt they would be able to afford drugs, let alone a 3 year old car, T&T and insurance.....

There's plenty of dossers around here driving 55/06/56 plate cars or even newer.1. Sign on2. Go to work cash in hand3. Rent out a room of your house that the council pay for to a mate4. Go to Dosser Car Credit5. Use cash from 1-3 to make a deposit and a few payments on a car, then disappear knowing full well it'll take them another 6 months to find you and take the car back, by which time it'll be knackered and smell of dogs and fags.
