I did the manifold change over a weekend, you don’t have to remove the cam belt but you do need to line up holes in the injector pump pulley and bolt it to the head to keep the timing correct and knock the pump out. It’s a bit of a ballache if you don’t have star sockets and allen drivers for a ratchet. Then again I have hands like a quarter pounder burger with 5 saveloys attached which didn’t help.

LOL I should have had that done then when I got the cam belt done. We will see what happens!

New EGR valve ordered.... Genuine.....£100.

It should last longer than 6 months.....

thankfully an EGR is easy to change on this.

I tended to look for Vauxhall/Opel or Fiat parts. Same part number, minimal Saab tax.

Yeah nice easy job on this engine for sure, 10 min job!

I can safely say power has been restored. She's driving tremendously.

 

Thats just for cleaning out the current EGR, I'll fit the new one when it arrives.

 

Driving absolutely spot on.
