TheScrapman Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 The Tories must think this is wonderful. Loads of bad PR for Labour and less free road tax cars when they re-introduce the rolling 25 year exemption. It's a conspiracy... It will never happen. If it does I will buy a hat and eat it.
AnthonyG Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 free road tax cars when they re-introduce the rolling 25 year exemption. It's a conspiracy... Are the Tories actually going to do that then? If so my R4 will be on free tax next year!Happy Days It's something they said they would do doing their desperate for votes days, under Duncan Smith (the second bald one) or Michael Howard. IIRC they said they would raise the motorway limit to 80 as well.Question them about it at election time, I guess. Have my doubts about whether Cameron will let any of it happen, although since the 25 year exemption will be unnoticed by the public at large, it might still happen. 80mph limit definitely won't, given the environment friendly posture.
RedSparrow Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Just stumbled on this, some ramblings on some motors scrapped so far. Shame about the Fiesta. http://www.autocar.co.uk/blogs/anythinggoes/archive/2009/05/21/46791.aspx
hennabm Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 can't see Blair Cameron putting back the 25yr rolling exemption I do hear that the FHVBC (or whatever) are trying to get exemption for all vehicles over 30 yrs old, in line with Europe. BUT there are limitations on usage tied in with that, as there are in European countries.
