Drove past this yesterday, remember reading the top hexagonal bit is no longer open but think the place looks really cool.

Yep all closed now, quite a depressing services too - stopped off en-route to collect a Tomcat earlier this year. Its bloody difficult top get a good snap too!

I think the top bit is just used for storage now. Always looks impressive in a sort of OMG way when you drive past. Its amazing it's still there really, the fact that the motorway is pretty much always quiet around it means if you drive past in an older car you really can have a full on late '60's experience

A friend of mine worked at the MOTO in the first year of Uni. She went up there and said they just store shite in it. That was in 2002.It's also in a film called 'Late Night Shopping'. I might take my Amazon there some time, but because of what happened at Lancaster I tend to avoid the place like the plague.

Have to say I'm not greatly fond of Lancaster tbh. It's one of those places you expect to be nice, historic and a pleasant place to wander around and it really isn't.

But then I'm from Burnley, and thats hardly paradise now is it?

Roffles. TBH, it was only -just- the Marsh, the older bit off west street before you really get into the pikey council hell-hole stuffed with dole-bludging Jeremy-Kyle-fodder. There was a dead nice chippy on west street, you could get to it through an snicket round the back of my house. My next-door-neighbour had two Astra GTE's, and an IMPOSSIBLY FIT bird who used to sunbathe in the garden alot. GR8 4 voyeurism.
