Meadowhall Retail Park Mini Pic Dump 7th September

I managed to get there after my shatnav got well confused and fired me into the intestinal maze in and around Meadowhall.

 

A quick phone call to Mr. Kee soon sorted things, and I got there.

 

There was a strong Ford \ Dub feel to the whole thing, I had the lone Swede.

 

My camera phone really doesn't like low light, but here's what I got before everything got too murky

 

 

 

 

 

 

On the way to the M1. I followed this mini convoy on the feeder tray accompanied by a multitude of farting Crossflows.

 

Not sure if the chap following me in the 1300 Supersport found his way back, I lost him in a haze of blue smoke on the diversion and he disappeared whence into the steely ether.

 

There was a Corrado \ Passat (not pictured) who broke down near the flyover parallel. Hope you got home okay.

 

The M1 Northbound had a closed sliproad so we couldn't get on. I ended up doing a colossal double back in best ZZ Top style back to the next junction down before turning round and hitting the A616.

It's slightly less undulating \ terrifying than the A57, and I had a top drive back over the virtually deserted hillsides and murky vistas.

 

Someone tried to race me down the '616 hillside in a Dolomite \ Toledo. Hats off to your insanity sir, but nowt beats a wound up Amazon piling into the bends with erm, 'commitment.'

 

Well, not until the hills beckoned anyway.

 

Might do it again, and perhaps by then I'll have bolted on my Hella spots so I can blend in a bit better.

I've finally managed to get my pics from Monday sorted.

A very pleasent meet, top marks for Kee for getting on and organising something.

As said, it was heavily FOMOCO and Vag stuff at first, but as the light faded there was a smattering of other marques to oogle over.

There was loads of other stuff, a ratty Jetta, a mint radient red S2RSt and a couple more mk2 escorts, Nizzer and his good lady in the mk2 Golf GTI in the background of some pics, oh yeah, and ofcourse Jon in't Amazon

So, all in all a really enjoyable meet.

And now I know where it is I'll be making my way down as often as I can, hopefully with a tripod

Yeah, I've almost got the hang of it now. I was at the Leeds cruise tonight (pics to come later) and I've finally worked out the long exposure setting. Its only taken 6months...
