25v6turbo Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Anyone live near any of these dealerships??Now as you know my 25 Turbo was supplied by Renault Birmingham but it was then a lease car through Evans,i,am getting the full history of the car together and have today writen to the second owner who had the car for 13 years to ask about any old pics etc he might have, worth a go....Anyway i now think that my car MIGHT of had an EVANS HALSHAW rear window sticker as this would make sense, yes it has Renault Birmingham plates but the rear sticker could of been the lease company, this happens loads on modern RenaultsSo can anyone pop into an Evans branch and try and get me a rear window sticker,an old tax disc holder would be nice aswell as a keyfob!!!!But anyway can someone help??,i think some face to face contact might be beter that some idiot on the phone!!
dollywobbler Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Cripes. Might be a challenge. Fortunately, Evans Halshaw tends to have dealerships all over the place but they come and go as well. For a time, I worked at Evans Halshaw Nissan, but they lost the franchise and closed down.I believe Renner Brum is still there though.
25v6turbo Posted September 2, 2009 Author Posted September 2, 2009 Yeah i need to see if theres one near me in Surrey, doesn,t have to be a Renault branch but i,am going to track this down, got the full service history/bookpack,loads of invoices all MOTS,so its a good start.
Volksy Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Might be worth giving them a call, you never know, explain what you are doing and they might post you a set.
Guest Tony Hayers Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Good luck on getting a rear window sticker & tax disc holder off Evans Halshaw.I bought a pair of branded (Bridgend Ford) numberplates and once paid for the mean bastards refused point blank to give me a rear window sticker and tax disc holder.I got my plates, disc holder and rear window sticker in the end but from another dealer, and a better looking sticker it is If you get them for free then brilliant, but bear in mind that some dealers just want to crush old cars and not have free advertising of their name on an older car. Tosspotts.
Station Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Are they sometimes okay about window stickers/tax disc holders, etc?
Mr Lobster Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Evans Halshaw / Pendragon = CNUTS. Worked for them for about eighteen months, walked out after the general manager threatened to kick my head in Never have I ever worked for such a set of barstids in my life. Hated every minute.Actually, and on a more helpful note - your car dates from the time before Pendragon took over EH. Not that this makes that much difference but tbh I'd be amazed if they had a proper period rear window sticker / tax disc holder for it kicking about anywhere.
Father Ted Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Not Evans Halshaw, but maybe this is just as good....http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RENAULT-CLIO-WILL ... 3ef97bc7b8
The Reverend Bluejeans Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Evans Halshaw still have a few Rennaugh dealerships in the North East, like.
