Went to another car show on Monday, This time it was a small village show in Lavenham, Suffolk.

I was really surprised by the amount of decent cars that turned up, Though it was a bit swamped under by the normal MGB & Stag clan who was drinking wine and eating cheese and biscults.

That Escort is very nice, it was fully restored and featured in a 'Your Classic' article must be getting on for 20 years ago now.

Surely the Aresenal Roller out-shite's the rest?! The Vanguard looks gorgeous!

Yes it does but i had already posted it here http://autoshite.commlm/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5786, I should of waited really! It was really was thing of true shiteness, The deep bass line of the song that some women was singing about taking up the arsenal or something like that was most entertaining!.

Yeah, I remember that. It's an official AVO-built Mexico estate, they made 6 or something if I recall correctly for very special order.Nice Mk2 Grandad, I had a 2.3L but it wasn't as nice as that one. Can't understand why more people weren't drooling over the Cortina, it looks cherry.

it looks cherry.

Oh, Welf, 1982 called, they'd like their saying back.

'Cherry' or not, the Cortina would have me all hot and bothered, it's lovely. Matra Murena is a nice thing, quite attractive and with three seats a little bit more practical than your average sports car. DO WANT.

That Cortina was a stunner, it was totally mint and original looking, even down to the John Grose Ford dealer number plates. (John Grose is the big main Ford dealership for Suffolk.)I funny enough i past it again later in the day near my house, a old couple in there 70's was in it, bet they have had it since new as well.

I'd have been very, very pleased to see that Cortina.I've got a pic of the Commer food van parked-up in Lavenham from earlier this year. There was a later Stanley steam car on the classic run I went on in June, that too was pretty quick.

I remember that too, still looks good. Cortina is a beaut, I wonder if I should make a Mk5 (sorry, Cortina 80 :P ) my next runabout....

We used to MOT test that Cortina, from what I remember it was Ziebarted from new, all black under the bonnet with one little bit where some battery acid had spilt. I've got one of those for sale.
