Does that have both a disc and a drum brake on the front?

Its disc only but the previous owner had a drum hub drilled out to fit the disc, he was an engineer by trade and made a great job of it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think on the models with drums all round, front and rear are interchangeable, so you can carry one wheel as a spare for both ends.

Yes you are correct sir, also the wheels are interchangeable from model to model, so 125, 175,250 and 350 will all fit as long as they are drum braked.
