Dyane Love

That 'caravan' looks very heavy on the back of that tin snail.I imagine the driving experience to be somewhere between 'glaicially slow' and 'yawn inspiring', assuming it can move at all

Was the Dyane a 2CV replacement? I had the toy car when I was little.

I'd have one of these at the drop of a hat:

I'd love a Dyane / acadiane, great for peasanty tootling in the summer months, roof off bimble off to the beach or for a picnic or similar simple pleasures. Sadly air-cooled Citroens carry a hefty price premium on the whole, anything cheap is going to be horrendously rusty.

Aye. Dyane was MEANT to replace the 2CV but it didn't! 2CV is slow etc but the Dyane was actually faster bu having a different compression ratio and ....... wait for it ....................a supercharger... :D No! seriously! the air intake to the carb comes off the back on the fan cowl and on an air cooled that's fairly well ducted. The induction air is higher that atmospheric pressure and so is 'technically' supercharged! It makes the Dyane a bit more of a mover than the 2CV (all things are relative!!)Anyway, I also want a Dyane - it's the popular 2CV's shite sisterI have a work in progress 2CV but still after a Dyane

a bit like the Metro & Mini affair except they don't look alike.I always preferred the look of the Dyane, followed by the square lamped 2CV

I like Dyanes too - and you can still get them cheap, though these days will not last long...My mate is selling his absolute minter for £3000 but Brian Damaged on Retro Rides paid the shite side of £1000 for his.
