i saw one of these today whilst out pricing a job up, didn't have a camera but as its around the corner i'll pop back :D

I hope it's not going to be pulled apart! But I guess if you want to stump up the 300 quid then you can do what you like with it. Do you think we should enquire as to it's condition apart from what we can see? :D At least this one is the buy complete for 300 option rather than 'it's being pulled apart bid for a bit of it!' Do you think they realised it was a bit special so thought they'd give it a chance at freedom??

Blimey! Off the road over 24 years! Wonder where it's been all that time.

and sidelined after less than 6 years, impressive huh! Although more impressive that it still exists in that case. I wasn't aware they could be had with vinyl rooves!

Looks amazingly un-messed about with doesnt it! I would love that, proper serious shiters car that one, not one for amateurs.

I seem to remember all these having off white bumpers. Is this sun faded or the actual colour?

Posted

All late 70s / early 80s cars seemed to get grey bumpers, all 3 of my shiters have grey bumpers, I think it suits them, none of that back to black nonsense!

Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on.

Here's the only one I've seen in ages. I suspect the bumpers on the blue one are grubby more than anything.

Fook me all the others are listed as being for 99p, they need to sort that one out, and as for the alpine are no northern shiters going to step up to the mark?!m0rris

Good thing I'm off on holiday really. I'd be tying myself up in knots over this!D'you reckon they'd swap it for a Citroen XM? Or two? That vinyl roof looks a bit ripe mind. :?

Wonder if it's the same place I got a punto gearbox for £5 because it was wrongly labelled as 'floor mats'?

Sort of, I have sent the seller an interesting proposition, which I am confident would be worth his while. I`ll report back if I hear anything from it.

I'll go halves with you on it, we can take it on holidays to Chickenley/Dewsbury Moor/Ferry Fryston.

MEGA SHITE. up there with the likes of a Yugo Sana in the autoshite stakes.I remember there being a fair few of these on the roads back in the 80's, but the only one I've seen for years was when i was on holiday in Zante last sept. I'd completely forgotten they even existed.I'd love to see someone on here save that and get it back on the road.

It's not too far from me, if I get some time I'll go and have a look at it. I think you're looking at #1 in terms of shite.

Posted

Oh no, looks like they have already started breaking it up (unless it came with an identical spare bonnet and headlights...) :(

Shit, the headlights, rad and washer bottle are on the bay now. As if anyone's gonna want a Chrysler Alpine washer bottle FFS. Jeez, it's actually made of glass?? Has anyone been to negotiate with the scrappers yet?? Mark.
