I “retained” the plate from my Dad’s old Volvo by putting it on SORN and weighing it in, retaining the V5. You’ve got 5 years to transfer it while it’s on SORN.

So this went over the scales today. I half arsedly tried to sell the plate on ebay for the last month but not a snifter of interest so I just left it rather than pay the £80.

 

Drove it in and the scrappy wrote me a cheque for £150,so all my money back... and the missus fiesta suits its free new wheels. Can't complain
