I've decided that the e28 shouldn't really be pressed into service as a wbod for various reasons with the primary one being that the heater is currently non functional due to a knacked control valve.

As i'm temporarily unemployed the need has arisen to have something a tad more sensible to run as a wbod.

Scumtree has yielded a suitable candidate from one of the less salubrious areas of Bristol. I'm on my way to collect now in the E28. If you haven't heard from me in the next hour i've either broken down or been murdered!

Or both!

There's lots of them salubrious areas in Bristle

Car looks good.

Might be worth doing a for sale list with pertinent facts. Nothing major just MOT expiry date. Good, Bad etc so perusal is a little easier. You know we are all really lazy...#

Ok, so here is a list of the good and the bad.

Good:

  • Will have 12mths MOT on it on saturday morning
  • Just under 59k on the clock
  • Good tyres all round
  • New Discs/Pads and OSF caliper two weeks ago
  • New aux belt and tensioner 2 weeks ago
  • Cambelt showing very little wear (looks to have very little mileage on it)
  • Heated seats nice and toasty
  • All electrics working, aside from aircon which needs regassing
Not so good:
  • Tractoring - Pump solenoid needs cleaning or replacing. This really doesn't affect normal driving. I still get over 45mpg everyday and speeds above the national speed limit on motorways and private test tracks are easily achieved. Will clean or replace if there is no interest on here.
  • Has had a slight bump on O/S/R (pictured on here) which has been repaired to autoshite standards. Barely noticable from 15ft
  • Bodywork isn't mint and has some scratches but nothing serious.

It's so weird how from the front three quarter view these look exactly the same as the 5 door.

I have successfully managed to navigate the trials of gumtree and have secured a sale on the 45 which is now winging its way with satisfied new owners in dorset.

Unfortunately not to anyone in this parish.

Let the e34 fettling commence.
