I'd nominate this as the car I forced my Dad to get when I was 2 - he had a Celica ST2000 which they struggled to get my child seat into, so my Dad traded it in for a 1981 2.0 Cressida from P.G Waring's of Langford in the same colour and spec as this one. He didn't have it very long before getting a company car and he sold it to a friend who kept it right up until he died. They weren't very common but there were at least three of them in Biggleswade, our old one - a red estate and a metallic green saloon

Pog beat me to the Chrysler Alpine - that would be my first choice.

This was bugging me...

...because it seemed very familiar. Then I remembered what it reminded me of...

If I visit the museum and wish to extend my stay, what sort of accommodation can I expect?

Cortinas were coil sprung from the MK3 on, which came out in 1971...

For some reason I always thought that they were leaf sprung??????

I was thinking Dan_Hirst as tour guide, giving out completely spurious information, and if the visitors are really lucky, serenading them with a suitable song or poem.
