I had a 206 car-van once....looked identical to your xsara in the back but still had the windows. They weren’t tinted. It was LHD and french registered and apparently were a hit with couriers/your french equivalent to our local hermes guy.....

 

Sold it to the daughter of an ex-pat who was driving it out to her father in France. She went from me straight down to Portsmouth to catch the ferry!

As said before a sharp smack on the bottom of the tank often moves the pump motor off its dead commutator segment and gets it going

I tried that numerous times and unfortunately it didn't work. Accessed motor and clouted it numerous times and its dead completely. Have got a used pump coming so hopefully that will sort it out
