New Post marker not disappearing

When I read a new post, or make one, the thread's orange new post marker isn't disappearing for me. I go back to the forum and it's still there, so I don't know what I have read.... Is this happening for anybody else?

I seem to remember this happening before, and asking about it. It was fine till yesterday though. Thing is I don't know what I have read and what I haven't...

Try a hard refresh with CTRL+F5. Or if no joy, as hinted above, think of it as a service light that doesnt want to go out.

The hard refresh didn't work, and I don't know how to get the bulb out of the icon....

I don't go by whether the threads appear orange or brown because it seems to be random. I took it that threads not clicked on before would be brown & once you had viewed them they'd turn orange. But now even ones I have read have gone back to brown. The only indicator I see when there's a new post is the little black arrow highlighting the thread.

It's slightly different today (what did you expect!). If I make a post, the marked goes away, if I just read it the marker stays.

I have the same problem on MacDroitwich and Austin-Rover.co.uk, both of which use the same forum software. I think we just have to live with it.

Seems to have suddenly fixed itself! Don't know what I will find when I get back to the board after posting this though....
