Great scans That kind of oil consumption is pretty normal. I have driven cars with much worse than that! I think my A35 was doing about 250 miles per gallon at some stage.

Actually YES......some were loads worse than that.....you have to remember a lot of engines needed rebuilt every 40,000 or there abouts...........good ones went beyond 60,000........I cut my teeth on Ford engines- rings, shells and mains timing chain etc as a Job for a Sunday, and did it for other folk to get a bit of cash in to modify my car......... ah the days when you could fix cars at the side of the road ...........

My T5 doesn't do much better than that.

I've done about 3000 miles in the Datsun and have never once had to top up the oil

yeah Fords get oil leaks installed at the factory, I once had a delayed PG9 em, but even then they don't use that much oil!
