Yep could've recovered it back to his before they even answered the phone, but we thought insurance might have though it was iffy due to it being found before plod did dunno what's gunna happen re buy back as it needed a full resto so as it'll end up marked down as a write off he may look for another.

He wanted a mk1 but prices were to high, mk2's are borderline, he was frozen gunna work on the scrambler an hour after it was nicked. Think they had to snap him off it when he got there!

Being a write off doesn't matter anymore for the insurance anymore like it did.

With the price of them being the way it is and the damage only being to the front end I can't see it being that hard, though of course expensive, to get it fixed back up. His insurance may not cover all the costs but I'm sure it'll do most and if he's that determined why let them scrap it?

Seems quite common nowadays unfortunately. In the next village to me a few weeks back, someone turned up with a lowloader and removed a Capri that had stood in someones garden for several years.

It happened in the middle of the day but the neighbours just thought he was getting rid of it at last, so didn't take any notice.
