Mash Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 At first glance I thought this said "This is Shit"......
MrRegieRitmo Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 porsche make pipes Shouldn't the main bit be at the back??
MrRegieRitmo Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Station: With regard to your headrests = less hats comment, someone on RR (I'm thinking it might be man of many magazines DarrenW) posted an advert for a 'safety hat' - basically your average old man hat but made from 'safety felt'. At no point was it suggested what made it safer than regular hat material but it was sold specifically for motorists, so I would imagine this felt had some kind of 50's NCAP rating. They'd have to 'lose' the hats in order to do the Safety Dance!
Spottedlaurel Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 My dad's boss when he was alive back in the 80's used to smoke a pipe, Golden Vigina i think? Loved the smell of it, Dad sometimes borrowed his Rover SD1 and I'd go it in a sniff it.When i see a SD1 now i always think of that smell.Think I'm weird.Must be an SD1 thing. My boss from 1986-89 was an ardent pipe man and the SD1s he had were always full of bits of tobacco, odd extra pipes and a general fug on the inside of the windows (same applied to his office too). Despite not being a smoker it was never something I found unpleasant, so that's filed in the fond, nostalgic memory department.
Guest Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 One of the funniest things I ever saw was in a queue of traffic going into Birstall - an old duffer in an XJ40 smoking a pipe with all his windows rolled up, with thick smoke swirling around inside his car, unable to escape. Looked like the interior had caught fire or something! You would genuinely have trouble seeing out of it."Sorry I'm late dear, got caught up in some thick fog on the way back"
