Parky Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 This is going to be one of the stupidest questions EVAH on Autoshite but I am having a problem and hope someone here can help me.I am trying to attach an avatar to my profile and quite frankly, it aint happening. I am trying to resize an image so it is 100x100 but cant see how to do it. I tried a Google search and all that basically says is resize your image to 100x100 and you can use it. But I already know that! I've got Adobe Photoshop version 3 starter edition and what I need is a step my step instruction of how to resize an image. Any assistance or advice would be appreciated!

Im fairly sure you can resize it there then use the direct link (http:....) in the avatar.I could be spouting shite though
retrogeezer Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 or use this and then upload it: http://www.jql.co.uk/avatarsizer.htm
FredTransit Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Yep open a free account at www.photobucket.com and upload it there, then resize it in edit. You can then use it here. Also you can use the photobucket account to hos any other pics on the forum.
Parky Posted June 18, 2009 Author Posted June 18, 2009 Cheers all, some useful ideas - think I'll try the Photobucket.
55bloke Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 You can download a FREE picture viewing programme from IRFANVIEW. Use it to open any image-file stored on your computer. When it opens, there'll be a group of clickable boxes along the top, one of which is IMAGE. Click it, and one of the options it will present is, RESIZE IMAGE. Click it, and it will ask you what dimentions you want to resize it to. Enter your dimentions, then right click and save. Job done.

Parky Posted June 27, 2009 Author Posted June 27, 2009 Tried the paint option and it worked! Thanks all. Needs some improvement but working at last!
