Finally had to "give in" and replace my old tax disc holder on Victor :-

I don't know when my tax disc holder dates from, but it's branded WJ Brown Ford dealers, 339 Finchley Road, Hampstead. Telephone Hampstead 2284-9.The dealer seems to be a furniture shop now.

I assume the previous owner did. They still seem to sell secondhand motors.

Interesting to see how little road tax has risen by in real terms, I dont know how much RPI has gone up by in the last 27 years (probably trebled?) but eighty quid in 1982 for a years rent was probably proportionally a lot more than whatever it costs now for a 1.1 engined car?

Busseys? My sister bought a Mondeo Estate from there not so long back, still going strong as a main dealer.Didn't they used to be down near Tombland closer to the centre of Norwich though? I'm sure in my stoodent days I used to ride past Busseys . Palace street maybe? I notice on google maps though there's a big load of building work going off where I thought they were.

They have seven branches according to their website.Three different buildings in Norwich.

Our 240 came with the original tax disc holder, but it wasn't in the window. It is now though.
