Someone broke two of the required amount of cylinders off... interesting that the seller isn't pushing just how rare this is.

Oooh, I just noticed that it's local to me, in Yorba Bimbo, birthplace of the least criminal president of ever, Tricky Dicky... actually he looks like a saint compared to the current cunt... no more politics, back to cars.

I'd run like fook from the Harrisburg car - that's prime rust belt stuff there.  I am fairly certain that the UK has it's own locally grown rusty car industry, no need to import the stuff.  I am pretty sure that the Tennessee stuff may also suffer from the rust worm... :-(

On the plus side though, an East coast car would be cheaper to ship back to England's green and pleasant land.

Dry states are the place to focus.

This post really has gone off on a Tangent

Sorry Jo!

I reckon you should try for that orange Mustang in Florida. It's lovely!

All the best conversations do... but we are circling back around to the topic of the much maligned Mustang II - slowly but, surely...

Actually they are suprisingly cheap in USA but they tend to be soo far in that all the shipping costs become prohibitive :(

There was a minter in Wisconsin for just £2000 problem was the shippers didnt want to get involved plus the vendor wouldnt talk to me cuz i wasnt Merican :(

I haven’t read the most of your thread yet, but that one is probably only a couple o’ hundred (350) miles from me.

Let me know if you want me to give him a call. I can go look see if it turns out to be something you are really serious about, either the week of Christmas or just after.

I’m traveling next week (in the wrong direction).

Damn, I hope it drives better than the real thing. Mine was like... well a truck engine strapped to a bed frame (same color too!)

Here's a good idea about the areas to avoid if you are looking for rust free...

http://usatoaus.com/rust.html

Virginia is in a "bad" area - it rains quite heavily over there, so any water traps will have been rusted out over the years - how badly?  Who knows?

How come Salt Lake City is not rusty belt.  The hills are snow-capped and the Bonneville Speed Week vehicles all need a push start!

Only 212 made - not an official production vehicle, but still interesting.

Contracted by Ford, so had Ford warranty.  All converted from Futuras.  Had their own brochure

Wish I was. Bloody cold in Minneapolis. (Though I'm currently enjoying the warm rain in Ireland!)

Last time I was in Hemet I saw a bumper sticker that read "Where the fuck is Hemet?"

Could be worse... could be Romoland or Homeland...

High desert innit... less than 8" of rain per year on average.

Now that sounds like somewhere I could gladly live! Fuck rain!

Utah can be "dry" in more ways than one though Dan... although not as bad as it once was, the alcohol laws can best be described as "interesting."

And, SLC is of course headquarters to the LDS - this may, or may not, affect your *decision to move to Utah.  Speaking from experience, and regardless of my views on their beliefs, I have found the Mormons I have worked with to be some of the nicest people I have ever met.
