The door within the tailgate was to facilitate unloading potatoes! I commented on it and the owner explained. He also said he thought the trailer was built just before WW2. New floor planks have been fitted but the rest is original and in superb condition. Once the heat recedes a little I have to rearrange the stuff in the barn so I can keep it under cover.
