sierraman Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 Could well have been took off the road for corrosion in the foam filled subframe.

HMC Posted November 11, 2017 Author Posted November 11, 2017 Gone up to 150 now. Am ooot. Prices have firmed up a bit but it wasn't all that long ago I got an motd example that wasn't all that bad for £270
Magnificent Rustbucket Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 XJ40s have risen in price quite a lot, albeit from a very low base.
HMC Posted November 12, 2017 Author Posted November 12, 2017 Went for £160 in the end. My trouble is I'm good at spotting projects, and starting them. Not so good as a finisher. I'm better suited to light repairs and maintenance rather than something major, and I wouldn't have had the time and patience to make a goer out of breaking it. Verdict- glad I baled out. Guest Hooli Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 XJ40s have risen in price quite a lot, albeit from a very low base. Started to happen within months of me writing mine off, utterly typical.
omegod Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Plenty of parts profit in that and you'd have had £160 worth of shell when you'd finished breaking it The Reverend Bluejeans 1
