not even close but thanks for the offer ...fb chaps seem to think ebay coils are good enough and theyre cheap so will try one soon i think , if it transforms it i can keep an eye open for a good brand one

new coil and tps fitted..no change lol

spray some body spray around the inlet manifold and see if the idle picks up ?  , could be a air leak thats knocked a cylinder out .

Have you cleaned the throttle body? It greatly improved the idle on mine.

yes ..wasnt really what youd call dirty at all....was yours obviously mucky ?

Not particularly, but there was a build up around the butterfly valve - mainly in the area where the valve would sit shut. The valve is designed to let a certain amount of air past even when in the closed position. If there is a build up of clag then the air flow is obviously restricted.
