ECR 8th October Show Pics

Recommended Posts

On Sunday it was what I believe to be the last East Coast Retros meet this year. Unusually, it took place on a Sunday (contrasting with the usual weekday evening meets), which meant that there were a number of cars which I had not seen at any previous shows. I enjoyed it a lot and would like to thank Trigger and everyone else who organised it for setting up such a good meet (and for the free Haynes manual).

Anyway, without any further ado, the pictures, starting with a classic Ford which is a bit different to the normal ones that you see at shows.

I got to have a seat in this Ginetta and found it impossible to reach the pedals and be seated comfortably. You must have bloody long legs and a tiny body to be able to drive one of these for any distance.

I never got to speak to him, but apparently the owner of this Studebaker sounded an awful lot like Trigger, which caused a great deal of amusement to quite a few people.

And to end, my highlight from the show, AngryDicky's Vauxhall Royale, with some of the best burgundy velour seats I have ever seen. Absolutely superb.

You are absolutely right, it even has the Zephyr badge on the back of it.

Thanks for letting me know though, I would never have noticed.

He's grafted a Mk2 Transit rear end onto it, it looks pretty good, he hopes to fit a Harvey Frost type frame next.

Thanks for sharing the photos and glad you had a good time. :)
