short answer is no as 3.5 inch t&g realistically covers 3 inches thus 4 lengths er foot height (4.5 covers 4 inces so 3x per ft height)

16 ft x (8x4) per side = 512 l ft =1024 l ft for 2 sides

8x(8 x3) (one end) = 664 l ft of 4.5 inch

so even taking the windows out you are short

I was thinking that . Thing is, the garage plot is rented , he's 90 odd...is it worth doing anyway ? I suppose I could use it when he's stopped driving or passes away , its only £4 a week rent .

If you decide on a 6ft high side then it will only take about 3/4 of the 1024 l ft (about 750ft) factor in doors and windows you will be closer but 6ft is a bit wee (if you are tall you will bang your head (a lot) and it will feel claustrophobic)

His Astra 3 does fit in a 14ft long garage , that is what's there already . His choice of car was dictated by the small garage !
